Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct and operate a five star luxury Scandinavian style lodge and restaurant, as well as 32 luxury chalets on a 95 hectare parcel of land approximately 1 kilometre east of Conche, on the Northern Peninsula. The resort complex will be serviced by a new road network, septic systems and individual drilled wells. Electricity will be provided by an underground electrical distribution system. Construction is planned to begin with the main access road in the Fall of 2006, followed by the lodge and restaurant in 2007 through 2008, and continuing with chalet construction during the next 6 to 10 years.

• November 22, 2005 – The undertaking was registered.
• December 27, 2005 – Public comments are due.
• January 6, 2006 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• January 13, 2006 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
