Project Description:
The proponent proposes to establish a mink fur farm on the Pinsent’s Arm Road near the Town of Charlottetown, Labrador . The proponent will construct two breeding sheds, a storage shed and a feed kitchen. The 14 acre site will have fencing. The farm will focus on mink pelt production and will start with an initial breeding stock of 500 pregnant minks. Construction is slated to take approximately 16 weeks.
- December 7, 2005 – The undertaking was registered.
- January 13, 2006 – Public comments are due.
- February 7, 2006 – The Minister releases the project from further environmental assessment.
