Proponent: Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Ltd.
Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
Project Description:
The proponent proposes to construct approximately 6 kilometres of primary forest access road near Gallants on the West Coast, and in addition, a new bridge across Harry’s River. This road and bridge is being constructed to access timber stands that would normally be accessed via White’s Road (Route 460) and the community of Black Duck. The new road would allow for wood trucks to by-pass Route 460 and the communities of Black Duck and Gallants.
