Project Description:
The proponent proposes to construct a 6 kilometre long snowmobile trail from Joe’s Pond in St. Lunaire to Gunner’s Cove Northwest Bay on the Great Northern Peninsula . The trail will join an existing snowmobile trail at Northwest Brook. The trail will be 3.65 metres wide with 4 bridges to be constructed for stream crossings.
- August 15, 2006 – The undertaking was registered.
- September 25, 2006 – Public comments are due.
- September 29, 2006 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- October 4, 2006 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
