Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop a 1500 Mink Breeder Farm The kits will be pelted and sold at auction. The site is approximately 10 acres and is located on the eastern side of Route 360 ( Bay D’Espoir Highway ) about 1 kilometre from the TCH. The site was a former fox farm started in 1990. Three sheds 200ft by 30ft will be constructed. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin early in 2007.

• December 12, 2006 – The undertaking was registered.
• January 17, 2007 – Public comments are due.
• January 25, 2007 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• February 13, 2007 – The Minister releases the project from further environmental assessment.
