Project Description:

The proponent proposes to establish a 1000 female breeder mink farm located off Route 330, approximately 3 kilometers east of the turn-off to Main Point. The construction will include 3 barns (100 metres by12.5 metres) to house both pelter and breeder cages, a storage shed (20 metres by 30 metres), and a manure pad (approximately 6.1 metres by 6.1 metres). Manure will be used at a local farm for fertilization. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in July of 2007.

• February 15, 2007 – The undertaking was registered.
• March 22, 2007 – Public comments are due.
• April 1, 2007 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• May 28, 07 – The undertaking is withdrawn.
