Project Description:

DFO is planning to rehabilitate the fishway structure on the upper Terra Nova River and in order to facilitate the project the proponent is planning a 5.5 kilometre temporary construction access road from Route 301 to the site. The intersection will occur at Route 301 approximately 1.5 kilometres from the town of Terra Nova . The proposed road will be an extension of the existing 800 metre access road to the sand borrow pit at this location.

• February 23, 2007 – The undertaking was registered.
• April 3, 2007 – Public comments are due.
• April 9, 2007 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• May 11, 2007 – The Minister releases the undertaking from further environmental assessment.
• July 12, 2007 – The Environmental Protection Plan is received.
