Project Description:
The proposal is to complete harvesting activities in the two previously active areas. The Chouse Brook District encompasses approximately 5,000 hectares of merchantable timber at a volume of 35,000-45,000 cubic metres, a larger area than the present plan. The King’s Brook District includes 50 hectares and 5,000 cubic metres. The projects are to commence during the summer and fall of 2007.
- May 9, 2007 – The undertaking was registered.
- June 15, 2007 – Public comments are due.
- June 23, 2007 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- June 20, 2007 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
