Project Description:

The proponent proposes to harvest a total of approximately 22,000 cubic metres of timber, on a 223 hectare parcel of land near Noel Paul Brook, in central Newfoundland . This proposed harvest is outside the current five-year operating plan for District 11. Approximately two kilometres of operational road will be constructed to access the timber, which is scheduled for harvest during the summer and fall of 2007.

• June 6, 2007 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 13, 2007 – Public comments are due.
• July 21, 2007 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• August 23, 2007 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
