Garden Hill Drilling and Production Program Amendment

Proponent: PDI Production Inc.

Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

Project Description:

The proposal is to increase the storage capacity for produced crude oil at the Garden Hill South oil and gas project site, registered in 2001 by the Canadian Imperial Venture Corporation (CIVC). To meet this requirement, the proponent is to construct a 10,000 barrel (approximately 1.59 million litres) above ground storage tank, with the capacity to build a second tank of the same volume in the future as demand may require. Additionally, a properly designed containment berm will be constructed to house the tank(s). The proposed site is within the boundary of the Town of Cape St. George , off Route 60, approximately 60 kilometres west of Stephenville.
