Project Description:

The proposal is to develop a cranberry operation west of Route 460 in Black Duck Siding. The total area of the proposal is 27.5 hectares, which includes 13.9 hectares of cranberry field beds. Construction will consist of cranberry bed development, a sediment pond, one auxiliary building, water control structures, and 400 metres of access road. Harvesting consists of flooding each field, dislodging the cranberries with a beater and gathering with a boom. The project is scheduled to commence upon approval.

• June 2, 2009 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 9, 2009 – Public comments are due.
• July 17, 2009 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• August 25, 2009 – The Minister releases the project from further environmental assessment.
