Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

Project Description:

The proposal includes a 92 metre bridge at the mouth of Tommy’s Arm River, in the southwest corner of Crescent Lake. The bridge is to connect existing snowmobile/ walking trails to provide a continuous loop around the eastern half of Crescent Lake. Construction will include concrete pillars, steel beams for the framework, wooden decking and appropriate railing. The project is scheduled to commence in July, 2009 if approved.

  • June 10, 2009 – The undertaking was registered.
  • July 15, 2009 – Public comments are due.
  • July 25, 2009 – The Minister’s decision is due.
  • August 21, 2009 – The Minister releases the project from further environmental assessment.
