Project Description:

The proposal is for two gravel/sand quarry sites totaling 8 hectares, located approximately 2.5 kilometres from the Town of Holyrood. Site access will be via an existing series access road (approximately two kilometres off the Holyrood Access Road). Sand and gravel materials will be used in a concrete batching plant, located at the Trans Canada Highway/Manuals Access Road interchange. Access road upgrades and pit operations are scheduled to commence subject to approval.

• January 8, 2010 – The undertaking was registered.
• February 17, 2010 – Public comments are due.
• February 21, 2010 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• June 8, 2011 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
