Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop a 5 hectare aggregate quarry on land adjacent to an existing quarry, located 10 km. west of Grand Falls-Windsor and 200 metres north of the Trans Canada Highway, near Thunder Brook. No new access roads are required. Drilling, blasting, crushing and screening will take place on the site. The quarry is expected to be in operation for approximately 8 weeks between May and November 2010. No aggregate washing will be conducted at this location.

• June 1, 2010 – Public comments are due.
• June 5, 2010 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• February 29, 2016 – Project Withdrawn.
