Project Description:

The proposal involves a 4 hectare quarry expansion off the Holyrood Access Road,approximately 3.3 kilometres from the Town of Holyrood. No new roads will be required for access to the site. A 50 metre buffer will be maintained around all bodies of water in the area. Associated work will employ 2 people during construction/site preparation and 5 people during operations. The life expectancy of the quarry is 5 to 8 years.

• October 29, 2010 – The undertaking was registered.
• December 9, 2010 – Public comments are due.
• December 13, 2010 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• June 8, 2011 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
