Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop a sand quarry located between the Foxtrap Access Road and Middle Bight Road, in St. John’s west. The quarry area will be 1.8 hectares in size. Access to the site will be through their existing sand pit operations. Sand will be excavated and screened at the site and then trucked to their existing operations on Topsail Road in Paradise.

• January 10, 2011 – The undertaking was registered.
• February 15, 2011 – Public comments are due.
• February 24, 2011 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• March 3, 2011 – Minister’s deadline extended and public meeting.
• March 22, 2011 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• March 24, 2011 – The undertaking was released.
