Project Description:

The proponent intends to develop an adventure tourism facility to be located in Petty Harbour. The zip line course consists of a series of elevated walking bridges and wooden landing pads linked by steel cables. The course will include 9 launch pads,several elevated walking bridges and 7 steel zip lines that extend along the westside of First Pond and terminate just west of Crocker’s Bridge. The project is scheduled to commence with construction in the spring or summer of 2011.

• January 28, 2011 – The undertaking was registered.
• March 4, 2011 – Public comments are due.
• March 13, 2011 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• May 12, 2011 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
