Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal to construct a permanent, eight-kilometre long snowmobile trail linking the town of Nipper’s Harbour to permanent snowmobile trails of the Newfoundland and Labrador Snowmobile Federation. The trail will use five kilometres of an existing woods road with an additional three kilometres to be cut. No water bodies will be crossed. Work is scheduled to take place from September to November, 2011.

• July 20, 2011 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 25, 2011 – Public comments are due.
• September 3, 2011 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• September 16, 2011 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
