Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal for the development of 109 hectares of Crownland for sod production. The farm is located on the north side of the Trans CanadaHighway near Whitbourne. The farm will be developed in stages of approximately twohectares of land per year. Land clearing and operation of the farm is planned betweenspring and fall of 2012.

• December 15, 2011 – The undertaking was registered.
• January 25, 2012 – Public comments are due.
• January 29, 2012 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• March 6, 2012 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
