Project Description:

The Town of Harbour Breton proposes to develop a marine industrial park at Poole Cove to support the growing aquaculture industry in the region. The marine industrial park will be approximately three hectares in size and include the construction of a 2.5 kilometre access road and wharf, installation of a three-phase electrical service, water and sewer services and a sewage treatment plant. Several building lots will be cleared for potential tenants.Construction at the site is scheduled to begin in June 2012.

• April 20, 2012 – The undertaking was registered.
• May 29, 2012 – Public comments are due.
• June 2, 2012 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• April 25, 2013 – The project is withdrawn.
