Proponent: Mr. Randy Edwards
Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
Project Description:
The proponent has submitted a proposal to modify and construct a ten kilometre All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) trail generally in the footprint of an existing seasonal trail. The proposed ATV trail will be two to three metres wide and will begin at an existing ATV access point located on the west side of Route 210 (Burin Peninsula Highway), approximately eight kilometres southwest of Piper’s Hole Park and approximately ten kilometres southwest of the Town of Swift Current. The purpose of the proposed ATV trail is to access the proponent’s remote cottage. Work will include some localized leveling and construction of basic water crossings over water holes and small streams. The proponent wishes to begin work during the early fall of 2012 and will take several years to complete with regular maintenance occurring thereafter.
