Project Description:
The proponent has submitted a proposal to construct a commercial and residential subdivision on a tract of land in Deer Lake. The area to be affected by the undertaking is approximately 117 hectares and will include commercial businesses, commercial office complexes, transportation facilities, metal fabrication zone, residential lots, green belts and walking trails. The project site is adjacent to a portion of the Glide Lake forest access road and Squires Road in the Town of Deer Lake. Construction is scheduled to begin upon approval and will be completed in five phases over a five-year construction period.
- March 21, 2013 – The undertaking was registered.
- April 26, 2013 – Deadline for public comments.
- May 5, 2013 – The minister’s decision is due.
- April 25, 2013 – The project is withdrawn.
