Project Description:

Penney Paving Limited intends to establish a sand and gravel quarry approximately 6kilometres southwest of Badger. The quarry will be located on the east side of theBuchans Highway between the highway and the Exploits River and will be approximately 1.8hectares in size. Aggregate (sand and gravel) will be excavated, crushed and screened atthe site. Construction is anticipated to take place in July, 2013.

• May 8, 2013 – The undertaking was registered.
• June 13, 2013 – Deadline for public comments.
• June 22, 2013 – The minister’s decision is due.
• July 19, 2013 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
