Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop approximately 37 hectares of land for hay productionon the Buchan’s Highway, approximately two kilometres southwest of the Town of Badger.The development of hay fields will require the removal of all vegetation including stumpsand stones, leveling and planting of seeds for hay. Once the hay as reached maturity it willbe harvested on a bi-monthly basis. The proposed development would provide quality hayfor purchase. Land clearing is proposed to begin in the spring of 2014 and continue over atwo-year period.

• November 8, 2013 – The undertaking was registered.
• December 13, 2013 – Deadline for public comments.
• December 23, 2013 – The minister’s decision is due.
• November 16, 2017 – The minister announced that the project is withdrawn.
