Project Description:

The undertaking consists of the construction of a modular emulsion manufacturing plantnear the Bloom Lake Mine site in Western Labrador to supply Cliffs Mines (Wabush Mine,Bloom Lake Mine) and other customers with blasting agent emulsion for mining purposes.In addition to the manufacturing plant, there will be construction of a new rail section andnew access roads for the emulsion plant. Construction is scheduled to commence in May2014.

• March 13, 2014 – The minister’s decision is due.
• January 7, 2016 – Project Withdrawn.
