Project Description:

The proponent has submitted an amendment to their Five-Year Operating Plan to allowaccess to 37 hectares of mature balsam fir and spruce stands that have reached anoperable age for harvesting adjacent to an approved agriculture development area. Themanagement of the area will be completed by a commercial harvesting and sawmillcontractor from Forest Management District 1. A new two kilometer class D road isproposed to access the area and the adjacent agricultural development. Operations willcommence in the spring and continue through the 2014 operating season.

• January 28, 2014 – The undertaking was registered.
• March 10, 2014 – Deadline for public comments.
• March 10, 2014 – The minister’s decision is due.
• September 10, 2014 – The minister announced that the project is released.
