Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct and operate an adventure park located within thecommunity of Colinet on Route 91, at Rocky River Falls. The adventure park will consist ofa 1.75 kilometre hiking trail; a cottage development area; a festival area, stage and drivein;a 9.6 kilometre ATV/snowmobile trail; a 14 tower zip line; and a marina. Developmentwill occur over a variety of terrain including scrub-forest, black spruce forest, heathland andmarsh. The park is expected to increase tourism in the area. Construction is set to beginin the Spring of 2014.

  • May 25, 2014 – The Minister’s decision is due.
  • June 10, 2014 – Environmental preview report (EPR)required.
  • August 14, 2014 – EPR Guidelines issued.
  • February 10, 2017 – EPR submitted for review.
  • March 17, 2017 – Deadline for public comments on the EPR.
  • March 27, 2017 – The Minister’s decision on the EPR is due.
  • June 29, 2017 – The Minister announced that the EPR is deficient.
  • July 5, 2018 – EPR submitted for review.
  • August 18, 2018 – The Minister’s decision is due.
  • August 27, 2018 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
  • November 5, 2018 – The Minister announced that the EPR is deficient.
  • November 22, 2018 – Addendum submitted.
  • January 21, 2019 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
