Project Description:

The proponent proposes a cattle farming operation and meat production facility (slaughter house) at Emerillon Lake, located 45 kilometres east of Labrador West. The beef cattle farm will include construction of a barn and meat processing room for a slaughter house. The project will include clearing of pasture land starting with 25 acres and up to 200 acres in 3-5 years. Construction is planned to begin in spring 2015.

• February 18, 2015 – The undertaking was registered.
• April 2, 2015 – Deadline for public comments.
• April 4, 2015 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• May 21, 2015 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
