Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal to construct a replacement breakwater for an existing structure that is in disrepair. Work will involve removing timbers from the existing breakwater, and new breakwater construction with two rows of cribbing.  The new breakwater will be 305 metres long. Work is anticipated to take three months to complete and is expected to begin once all approvals have been obtained.

• June 23, 2016 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 29, 2016 – Deadline for public comments.
• August 7, 2016 – The Minister’s Decision is due.
• August 30, 2016 – The Minister announced that the project is released from further assessment.
