Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop four locations along the Exploits River for tourism to enhance opportunities for fishing and recreation. The four tourism enhancement projects being proposed will be located at Station Road, Fallsview Municipal Park, Main Street, and Riverside Drive are all located within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Bishop’s Falls.  The projects will include tourism enhancements such as parking lots, boat slipways/launches, walkways, and viewing decks.  Construction for these projects is anticipated to begin in May 2017.

• July 20, 2016 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 24, 2016 – Deadline for public comments.
• September 3, 2016 – The Minister’s Decision is due.
• December 9, 2016 – The Minister’s Decision is due (extended).
• December 14, 2016 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
