Project Description:

The proponent has submitted a proposal to construct an additional 7,000 tonne liquid asphalt storage tank at their liquid asphalt storage terminal located in Come By Chance for the handling and storage of asphalt cement (AC). This facility currently has two AC storage tanks totaling 8,000 tonnes that provide product to road building contractors in the area. Construction is anticipated to last three months and operations would be on a seasonal-permanent basis from May through November.

• November 30, 2016 – The undertaking was registered.
• January 4, 2017 – Deadline for public comments.
• January 12, 2017 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• January 18, 2017 – Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• January 25, 2017 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
