Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to prepare an approximately nine hectare cottage development area adjacent to the southern shore of the Exploits River, approximately two kilometres east of Bishop’s Falls. The project will be carried out in three stages of five to six lots per year. The development will require approximately 1.4 kilometres of road and up to nine hundred metres of electrical power line. The lots will be serviced with septic systems and well water.

The undertaking was registered on July 27, 2017; the deadline for public comments is September 1, 2017; and the minister’s decision is due by September 10, 2017.

• September 10, 2017 – The Minister’s Decision is due.
• September 19, 2017 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
• August 20, 2020 – Buffer Zone Plan Approved.
