Project Description:

The proponent proposes to establish and operate an 80,000 square foot hydroponic facility for the production of cannabis for medical purposes at the Argentia Industrial Park in the Town of Placentia. An existing building will be refurbished and will include hermetically sealed, climate controlled, fully automatic growing rooms. The facility is accessible by existing roads and is connected to the municipal water and sewer systems. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2018 and production starting in the Fall of the same year.

• February 6, 2018 – The undertaking was registered.
• March 14, 2018 – Deadline for public comments.
• March 23, 2018 – The Minister’s Decision is due.
• May 17, 2018 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
