Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to construct and operate a five-hectare quarry located approximately 1.5 kilometers north of Route 210 (Burin Peninsula Highway) and Route 211 (Terrenceville-Grand Le Pierre) intersection. Site access will be via a new access road or through the existing access via the Transportation and Works Depot. Construction will involve clearing, grubbing and quarry development. Operations will include excavating, screening, stockpiling and transporting aggregate materials. No drilling, blasting or crushing operations will be conducted.

• January 30, 2019 – The undertaking was registered.
• March 7, 2019 – Deadline for public comments.
• March 16, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• March 20, 2019 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
