Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct an abattoir and barn for raising turkeys on a farm near Glovertown. The abattoir (8.5 metres by 8.5 metres size) will allow the farm to process their own turkeys and chickens on site, and, the barn (12 metres by 46 metres size) will provide future expansion room for raising up to 2,500 turkeys. The farm is located approximately 15 kilometres west of Glovertown, off Duck Pond Resource Road, and is to the north of Third Pond and Little Northwest Pond.

• April 25, 2019 – The undertaking was registered.
• June 3, 2019 – Deadline for public comments.
• June 9, 2019  – The Minister’s decision is due.
• June 21, 2019 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
