Project Description:

The proponent proposes the construction and operation of a delayed coker complex equipped with a small integrated crude oil fractionation unit, a distillate hydrotreater, and assorted utilities in Come by Chance, northwest of the existing refinery. The petroleum facility will consist of a 26,000 barrel per day delayed coker, equipped with a 40,000 barrel per day fractionation unit and a 17,000 barrel per day distillate hydrotreater.

• July 11, 2019 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 16, 2019 – Deadline for public comments.
• August 25, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due
• October 10, 2019 – Environmental Preview Reports required
• October 25, 2019 – Environmental Assessment Committee Appointed
• November 12, 2019 – The deadline for the issuance of EPR guidelines has been extended.
• April 14, 2022 – Project withdrawn from EA review.
