Project Description:

The proponent proposes to develop a 2.27-hectare quarry as a source of natural gavels and ripped rock to provide backfill materials that can no longer be supplied by the existing quarry. The proposed quarry is located north of Goose Cove Road in St. Anthony. Access to the site will be through an established road to the existing quarry and the development of a new road approximately five metres wide and 150 metres long between the existing quarry and the proposed quarry.

• August 5, 2019 – The undertaking was registered.
• September 11, 2019 – Deadline for public comments.
• September 19, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• October 2, 2019 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
