Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct and operate a four hectare sand, gravel and rock quarry adjacent to other nearly depleted quarries located east of the Holyrood Access Road,approximately 3.3 kilometres from the Trans-Canada Highway and 5.4 kilometres from the Town of Holyrood. Construction will involve clearing the site of vegetation and organic matter. Operation will involve pit run removal, stockpiling sand and gravel, drilling and blasting. Screening, crushing and washing of quarry material will take place at existing adjacent quarries, also operated by the proponent.

• September 9, 2019 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 15, 2019 – Deadline for public comments.
• October 24, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• November 6, 2019 – The undertaking is released.
