Project Description:

The proponent, Hickey’s Contracting (1989) Ltd., is proposing to develop two quarries off Route 210, Burin Peninsula Highway, approximately 6.8 kilometres northwest of Swift Current near the Piper’s Hole River. The first quarry covers a 3.3-hectare area and the second quarry covers a 0.53-hectare area. The development will include vegetation clearing, grubbing and stockpiling of material on site. Operations will include excavating, screening, stockpiling and transporting aggregate materials.

• June 16, 2020 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 22 , 2020 – Deadline for public comments.
• July 31, 2020 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• October 30, 2020 – The Minister announced that the project was released.
