Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to construct access roads and conduct land clearing within the provincial Agriculture Area of Interest #39 at Junction Brook near Deer Lake. The land will be used for growing vegetables and other agricultural crops. Road construction will include grading, ditching, installation of culverts and the construction of an 18-metre bridge on Crooked Feeder Brook. Land clearing will involve removal of trees and stumps. Overburden will also be removed and stockpiled for use in farm development.

• June 24, 2020 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 30, 2020 – Deadline for public comments.
• August 8, 2020 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• August 27, 2020 – The Minister announced the project is released.
