Proponent: Rob Clarke Motorsports Inc.
Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
Project Description:
The proponent is proposing to construct a tourism lodge to provide full-service accommodation as part of a guided snowmobile tour operation. The site is located off Route 420, 24 kilometres from the Trans-Canada Highway towards Jackson’s Arm, at the mile 24 marker on Taylor’s Brook Road. The lodge will be a combination of metal frame Quonset hut building and timber frame construction on a concrete slab and will require a well and septic disposal field. An accessory building for storage will also be constructed. The site was previously cleared and a 60 metre access road was constructed initially for a private cottage lot.
