Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to replace a culvert on Calm Hole Road, in the Town of North River, where a drainage stream crosses the roadway and flows into the North River. Installation of the culvert would eliminate vehicle passage through the stream. The work would take approximately 3-4 hours to complete and would be conducted by a contractor using a back hoe and dump truck. Silt barriers would be installed prior to construction.

• May 10, 2021 – The undertaking was registered.
• June 14, 2021 – Deadline for public comments.
• June 24, 2021 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• July 21, 2021 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
