Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop 88 hectares of Crown land for the production of vegetables and forage. Farm development will take place over a two to five-year period and include an area of peat bog. The site is located approximately five kilometres northeast of Jewer’s Brook, near Wooddale in Central Newfoundland. No farm buildings will be constructed and produce will be transported off-site for processing.

• May 10, 2021 – The undertaking was registered.
• June 14, 2021 – Deadline for public comments.
• June 24, 2021 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• July 21, 2021 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
