Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
Project Description:
The proponent proposes to enhance conditions for Atlantic Salmon migration at Middle Barachois Brook, near Robinson’s, on the west coast of Newfoundland. The project would be located approximately 80 metres downstream of a bridge crossing the Camp 180 Resource Road and approximately 23 kilometres east of the Trans Canada Highway. Construction would include removal of rock and placement of concrete barriers to increase water depth in a pool at the base of the waterfall. Equipment would access the project site via clearing a 125-metre route from the resource road.
