Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
Project Description:
The proponent is proposing to construct four geodesic dome accommodation units to expand its existing tourism lodging business near the Exploits River, approximately 20 kilometres west of Grand Falls-Windsor. Access to the site is existing from the Trans-Canada Highway. Construction of the domes would require land clearing, installation of concrete pillar foundations, well drilling and septic system installation. Underground connections would be required to connect the domes to the existing power lines on site. Construction is expected to start May 2022 and would take 3-4 months to complete.
