Project Description:
The proponent is proposing the construction of a breakwater approximately 130 metres long by 20 metres wide to provide protection of an existing wharf in Barr’d Harbour on the Great Northern Peninsula. An area adjacent to the breakwater will be graded to provide safe vehicle access for launching small vessels. The project site is located within the community of Barr’d Harbour approximately 17 kilometres Northeast of Port Aux Choix (Route 430).
- April 20, 2022 – The undertaking was registered.
- May 27, 2022 – Public comments are due.
- June 4, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- June 17, 2022 – The Minister determined that the project is released.
