Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to expand their existing farm near Maccles Lake Road by 108 hectares to become self-sufficient in forage production to meet the needs of their existing grass fed beef herd. The development of forage fields will require the removal of vegetation, stumps and stones; leveling; and, planting of forage crops. Forage crops will include grasses, legumes and grains and will involve the regular addition of soil amendments such as limestone, fertilizers and cow manure.

• September 9, 2022 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 17, 2022 – Deadline for public comments.
• October 24, 2022 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• November 4, 2022 – The Minister determined the project is released.
