Project Description:
The proponent is proposing an amendment to the Crown Zone 3 Five-Year Operating Plan (2022-2026) that would allow commercial harvesting in District 4, near the Mint Brook Resource Road and the Town of Gambo. The amendment would include harvesting 4000 cubic metres of hardwood and 800 cubic metres of Jack Pine by a commercial logging contractor, which would be used to manufacture cabinets, flooring and other value-added products.
- December 21, 2022 – The undertaking was registered.
- January 26, 2023 – Deadline for public comments.
- February 5, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- January 26, 2023 – The project has been withdrawn.
