Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct 5.9 kilometres of access road for mineral exploration approximately seven kilometres south of Labrador City in Western Labrador. The proposed road will be 6 metres wide to support the mineral exploration activities and baseline data collection for the Lac Virot Iron Ore Project.

• April 6, 2023 – The undertaking was registered.
• May 11, 2023 – Deadline for public comments.
• May 21, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• June 4, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due (extension).
• June 25, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due (extension).
• July 19,  2023 – The Minister’s decision is due (extension).
• October 19, 2023 – The Minister determined that the Project is released.
