Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to construct a windrow-type composting pad at their turkey farm in Freshwater, Conception Bay North. The composting pad would be used to compost organic waste from their farm and abattoir. Finished compost will be used on hay fields.

• July 7, 2023 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 11, 2023 – Deadline for public comments.
• August 21, 2023 – The Minister’s Decision is due.
• August 16, 2023 – The Minister determined the Project is released.
• February 22, 2024 – Waste Management Plan is acceptable.
